Dr. J. Surya Rao is a doctor by profession and the visionary founder of the Roland Educational and Charitable Trust. He completed his MBBS from NGM Medical College, Jamshedpur, and has since committed himself to the cause of education and community service.

As the Chairman and Promoter of the Roland Group of Institutions, Dr. Rao has been instrumental in establishing several renowned educational institutions including:

• Roland Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences
• Roland Institute of Computer and Management Studies
• Roland Junior College
• Roland Institute of Technology

For over two decades, Dr. Rao has tirelessly contributed to the advancement of education in Southern Odisha. His initiatives have significantly impacted the region’s academic landscape.

Apart from his contributions to education, Dr. Rao is actively engaged in social service. He is a governing body member of ABV Samaj and City High School, continuing to influence community development at multiple levels.
